Jemena hosts 2022 Retailer Forum

Monday, 15 August 2022

More than 50 representatives from retailers from across the country attended the 2022 Jemena Retailer Forum held on Monday, 15 August 2022.

An important fixture of Jemena's stakeholder engagement calendar, the Retailer Forum provided an opportunity for attendees to learn about efforts being made across the Group to prepare for the energy system of the future. Attendees heard from a number of Jemena team members covering a range of topics under the themes of how Jemena is preparing for the energy transition, initiatives aimed at improving existing services, and our plans to accelerate our customer experience transformation. Specifically attendees learnt about:

  • How the Group is preparing its electricity network in Victoria for a renewable fJemena-Retailer-Forum-(LinkedIn-Post).pnguture, including greater EV uptake and increased solar penetration,
  • The Group's leading Renewable Gas demonstration projects, including the Western Sydney Green Hydrogen Hub and the Malabar Biomethane Project which are testing the application of renewable gases in a range of contexts, and
  • Initiatives being implemented across the Group to enhance how we communicate with our customers and partners.

Attendees also heard from our Group's Managing Director, Frank Tudor, who thanks our partners for attending the session, noting that all parts of the energy supply chain must work together to deliver a reliable, affordable, and sustainable low-carbon future.

Frank also provided a high-level overview of the Group's activities over the last 12 months as part of his keynote address. A copy of Frank's presentation is available here.

Jemena's 2022 Retailer Forum is an example of the Group's Think like a customer value in action and complements other stakeholder engagement activities conducted by the Group including the Major Users Forum which will be held in late August.
